Dalkeith Great House and Cottages
Dalkeith Great House is a former colonial plantation, originally covering some 600 acres. The majority of the land was subsequently sold off, leaving the current 4 acres today.
After visiting the property in 1999, we instantly fell in love with it, and after promptly purchasing it, we started on the long road of lovingly renovating the site to its former glory. Today, those renovations are complete, and the property comprises the Great House, the three guest cottages, swimming pool and gardens, all within a secure environment.
Standing in the district of Knockpatrick, close to the town of Mandeville, the property offers a tranquil setting away from the hustle and bustle of modern life. The nearest international airport is in Kingston, which is approximately an hour and a half drive away.
The guest accommodation comprises of two one-bedroom cottages, and a larger two-bedroom cottage. All cottages are well equipped with kitchens, lounge/diners and bathrooms with showers, and have access to the swimming pool.
Other facilities include colour televisions, radios and fans. Aside from exploring the local area, guests are welcome to relax in the gardens or by the pool.
